SAXON BIKES GET EEC TYPE APPROVAL
Representatives of Saxon Motorcycles Europe proudly
announced that they have obtained the European Type approval. The motorcycles
now are approved in conformity with the strict European standards on safety,
emission and sound. Therefore all bikes of Saxon Motorcycles Europe are now “road
legal” and can be put on licence by the dealers in every country of the
European Union (EU). This certificate is also accepted by Switzerland.
“We are very glad that we have been able to obtain the
approval in such a short period of time which was a huge challenge” says Frank
Vermeulen co-founder of Saxon Motorcycles Europe.
“Now we can make our lineup available in our dealers showrooms
this selling season” adds Rinke Andringa, co-founder. The Type approval has
been granted for the two European models, Warlord and Firestorm. The Warlord is
a real rebellious US Highneck Chopper and the FireStorm is a long and low
Pro-street in the low rider style. Both models come standard with a two-year
unlimited mileage warranty, 96” (1566cc) S&S engine, 260 rear tyre, right side
drive transmission and softail®-style frame. The bikes have been designed with a
good sense of detail and ergonomics.
“The bikes not only look great, but they’re extremely
comfortable and well balanced” said Rinke Andringa. “Obtaining European Type
approval is a huge accomplishment for Saxon” says David Schwam, vice president
of sales and marketing of Saxon Motorcycle Company USA.

to allow us to become one of the first American made production custom
motorcycles available in Europe and we are
convinced that they will do a great job of upholding our commitment to customer
service and dealer support.”
Saxon Motorcycles Europe is currently in the process of
establishing leading dealers in different countries in Europe.
Soon the bikes can be found in the showrooms of dealers.
Saxon Motorcycles Europe has been founded in January 2006,
by Frank Vermeulen and Rinke Andringa, with the goal to provide the European
market with American custom bikes and accessories. They want to give people the
opportunity to escape from their “ordinary” lives and create a feeling of
freedom and fun. Saxon Motorcycle Company is one of the first American custom
motorcycles producers with the European Type approval.
