REVIEW: YAMAHA AEROX YQ50
 The Yamaha Aerox YQ50 sports-scooter is now available in a radical
new Yellow speedblock design in tribute to Yamaha's racing heritage.
The yellow, black and white design dates back to the original Yamaha US
racing colours which were used in road racing, dirt-tracking and MX.
The design became famous when Kenny Roberts won the 500c World
Championship in 1978/9. This was then replicated at Yamaha's 50th
Anniversary celebrations when used by Valentino Rossi at the 2005
Laguna Seca US GP. The Aerox is already a favourite paddock bike for
Yamaha race teams and this new design will only increase its popularity
in the pits and on the streets.
The Aerox R offers supersport
style while complemented by its high spec, liquid-cooled engine
delivers great performance. The Aerox offers sharp, agile handling from
light, alloy five-spoke 13 inch wheels with excellent stopping power
from front and rear Brembo disc brakes. The Aerox has a stunning
straight-from-the-track appearance with upside down forks, race
graphics and is finished with an aviation-style filler cap. This
scooter is sporty yet practical too, with dual seat and under seat
helmet bay. Genuine Yamaha Accessories include Sports shock absorbers,
carbon or chrome body parts, coloured sportscreens, grippy seatcovers,
luggage carriers, a 30 litre topcase, footplates and colour matched
kickstarters.
 The new Aerox costs £2,199 On The Road, the same as
the standard colours of blue, silver and black. All Aerox machines are
supplied with Free Third Party Only Insurance. This offer is also
extended to 3 other named family members. Affordable Third Party, Fire
and Theft upgrades are also available on the Aerox as follows; Age
16/17- 20 £199, 21-24 £99 and over 25's pay just £49. Highly
competitive upgrades are also available should you prefer Fully
