MOLYNEUX AND HALLAM TO MISS ISLE OF MAN TT
HM Plant Honda sidecar riders Dave Molyneux and Craig Hallam will miss the 2006
Isle of Man TT after crashing out, at Rhencullen, in yesterday’s (1 June)
practice session.
Isle of Man-based Molyneux sustained a dislocated
shoulder and a cut to his leg while Hallamsustained friction burns.
It is a disappointing end
to the pairing’s week-long practice; they demonstrated consistent strong form
and set the early pace around the famous 37.73-mile course; Molyneux beat –
unofficially - the current lap record of 116.04mph in Tuesday’s practice
session, with an average speed of 116.224mph.
Neil
Tuxworth: “Obviously, it’s a great shame that Dave and Craig are unable to
compete, not only for HM Plant Honda but for all the fans. They were showing
some blistering form and looked set to lead the way. We are however, grateful
that both riders are ok and we wish them a speedy recovery.”
